CONSIDER PRESSURE ZONES

Using Multiple Engines To Protect The Bubbas

There are times at fires when we can be tasked with pumping different pressures to multiple lines. For example, you're pumping 120 psi to a Blitz Fire protecting an exposure while running a hand line at 185 psi with the new Elkhart Nozzle 175@75 tip.

The only way to manage this pressure difference is to gate down the Blitz Fire line until you achieve your desired PDP.

But what if you have widely different pressures? Rick has developed an effective solution to this problem over his years of experience. Although this is a rare incident, it is a great tool to keep in the back of your mind as you approach different fires throughout your career.
